Gomaco Paver Frame Lock (January 2021 ~ May 2021)
The Gomaco GP-4 Paver is currently operating with undesirable width changes over the course of work that result in paving width variation of up to a half inch in either direction from intended paving width. To combat the unwanted movement, the team was tasked with finding a braking solution that would be cost effective, easy to implement, and maintain the existing safety and ease of use that the current model has. The targeted results were to create a theoretical solution that would reduce any movement in the width to within a quarter inch in either direction.
